Deb is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker through the Minnesota Board of Social Work. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology, as well as her Elementary Education Teaching Degree from the Bemidji State University. She graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Minnesota - Duluth, with a focus in Child Welfare. Her professional background included elementary education teacher and mental health program management with the Arrowhead Headstart Program. 

Deb recently retired from Creative Solutions Counseling, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and service. In 2013, she turned her vision into reality by founding Creative Solutions Counseling 4 Kids, creating something truly special—a place where children, families, and individuals could find hope, healing, and support during life's most challenging moments.
Through her unwavering commitment, Deb built far more than an agency; she cultivated a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment where countless young hearts and families have been empowered to grow, heal, and thrive. Her leadership, kindness, and belief in the power of compassionate care have shaped the foundation of Creative Solutions Counseling and touched the lives of so many within our community.
Although Deb's retirement marked the close of an incredible chapter, the impact of her work will continue for generations to come. The team at Creative Solutions Counseling is deeply grateful for her vision, the values she instilled, and the standard of excellence and compassion she modeled every day. The team is committed to preserving the compassion, integrity, and dedication upon which the agency was founded.
